3 Key Ways How to Motivate People
Whether it is a personal or business relationship, we all want to feel special. So, if I asked you what motivates people, would you be able to provide an answer? Inspiring people can be challenging, but the following three ways give you a great start.
Purpose
The Word ‘purpose’ is all about today. You hear it everywhere, and I write about it a lot. People have the urge to figure out their purpose in their lives. Sometimes lack of purpose leads to unhappiness if one doesn’t feel like he or she is in the right place.
Every organization and relationship should have clear goals which support unique individual positions. People can perform better when they feel they belong and have a meaningful role of clarity.
Autonomy
People don’t need to be supervised or told what to do. Sometimes, we are open to hearing advice but find most content in having our freedom of decision.
Micro-managing organizations or relationships only leads to lousy results, as an individual can only rebel against commands and obligations. However, you can receive better results when you give people responsibility and encourage a person to show their capability.
