I’ve read multiple books on how to become productive, tried various time management tips, and used numerous applications, only to realize that many of them don’t work for me. If you feel the same, you should read further.

Always One Step Behind

After chasing unfinished tasks, staring at my to-do lists, and constantly feeling one step behind, I decided to try another approach. Could another way exist if the ‘efficiency’ approach left me unsatisfied?

They say the older you get -the quicker time feels like passing by. I wanted to be the one that would take the most of my time on this earth, and learned to enjoy every second. As I didn’t want to feel lacking, I needed to figure out how to feel satisfied with my achievements.

Instead of being one step behind, the key is to be in the moment.

I learned that I needed to stop and clear out my thoughts. Things started to shift when I learned to be in the moment, see the task in line with my goals, and take action instead of hesitation.

In reality, the critical task might not be one of those unanswered emails, one of those commitments that you just couldn’t say no to, nor the social media post you have procrastinated to do for the last couple of hours.
