You overslept because you forgot to push the snooze button. Your keys were missing, and it was someone else’s fault after finding them in your pocket. When you drive to work, a person in front of you is moving too slowly, and you crash your car. Finally, you’re at the workplace, full of frustration, one hour late from your schedule because the world hit your face.

Relationships

When two people shout out words in the air and emotions have taken control, it is difficult to have any constructive result in an argument. However, you create change when you practice that no matter your situation, it is always your fault if things don’t work.

You have failed to listen. You have overreacted. You have made a mistake. You have failed to see the other perspective. The purpose of all relationships is not to last, but you can avoid arguments when you learn to take responsibility for your own words and actions.

Everything is going to change when you change yourself and your attitude towards any situation. When you’re no longer attacking the person, when you are open to understanding their different viewpoint, although you don’t share the same opinion, any argument can have a good ending.

Work

Although you are not an entrepreneur, you always represent yourself, no matter what you do. Therefore, you need to work like the CEO of your own company. Though you didn’t have monetary responsibility for your mistakes, assuming personal liability makes a difference.

Taking responsibility for failures, and trying to do every task as well as you can, is the best way to promote your work. Then, whenever you deliver extra, people will see it. You can only assume going up in your career after an excellent performance, not providing void promises over the future.

Life

Looking at the mirror and taking responsibility can be brutal. It’s cruel to look yourself in the eyes and admit your part in where you are in life. Yet, you’re the only obstacle in your way to where you want to go.You’re not in that situation because of anyone else besides yourself.

It is not your childhood, lousy relationship, family responsibilities, health issue, or anything else that has driven you to where you are now. Forgetting excuses and accepting this hard-core truth can be a good beginning for future achievements.

The best part of this life is; that you can change everything as long as you’re here. So try it today, from this moment, and choose to take full responsibility no matter where you go and what happens in your life. When you do this, the magic starts to happen.
