Why I Crashed My Healthy Lifestyle to Start Again?
It felt too good to be true. I had never done anything like this. Earlier, a decision like this would have turned into a catastrophe full of self-pity and blame. However, this time I knew what I was doing. I was staring at various options in this tiny bakery, feeling my mouth turning watery. Variety of options of creamy cakes, chocolate desserts, and salty pastries. I could have anything that I wanted. I smiled at the salesperson and started to choose.
Losing Control is Sometimes a Good Thing
I had been on a stringent diet for the last couple of years and was very lean before starting my trip abroad. During my 51 days work/vacation journey in Greece, I decided to go through an experiment. I went to eating unhealthy food on the side of a healthy Mediterranean diet.
In my early twenties, my training became excessive when studying law school. Exercising 15 hours a week combined with a lack of proper nutrition and sleep, the result could have been better. I have always been fit, but my relationship with food and exercise has been tricky. Now that I have a different mentality, I decided to change this relationship for good.
I allowed myself to eat salty and sweet treats every day, as much as I wanted. This time, the results of the way that I did it were astonishing.
